Many of my clients have been struggling with ways to keep people engaged during virtual meetings. There are a ton of techniques, but here is one you might enjoy. It is a virtual “wheel of fortune” type spinner. When meetings get quiet, put everyone’s name on it, spin it over screen share, and the winner contributes a comment or idea.

The person who sent me this uses it by asking the winner to share something fun or interesting that has happened in the last several days. It builds some personal connection when everyone is still so isolated. The meeting attendees pretend to groan about it but enjoy it. Of course, consider the personalities of the people at your meeting – this will be good fun for some people but too cheesy or direct for others.
