The City of Beaverton Community Development Department needed to align its short- and long-range planning staff on delivering city council policy goals and executing its five-year work plan. I worked closely with the planning division manager to design and facilitate a future-focused retreat that engaged the entire department to think strategically about innovative ways to deliver on city priorities despite limited resources.
For other departments, I also facilitated management-level planning sessions addressing strategic challenges and implementation options. These sessions created shared understanding, improved collaboration, and positioned groups to deliver on the city’s goals more effectively.
